About
About Gill Denne
I am a UKCP registered child and adult psychotherapist. I have over 25 years’ experience of working with adults and children in many different settings, and I work with adults, teenagers and children in my private practice.
My experience
I have worked with children, teenagers and families throughout my working life, and have more than 20 years’ experience in this area. My work has included time with a fostering agency, supporting children, young people and foster carers. I spent 18 years managing a counselling service. Since qualifying as a supervisor in 2012, I have supervised trainees, school counsellors and people managing services.
How I work
I work integratively, which means I draw on a number of different schools of thought rather than using one fixed model. I think a lot in terms of attachment theory and our relationships with others. Above all I want to work in a way that works for you, and am very open to your feedback.
Working across the lifespan
I work with adults across the whole of the lifespan, on issues that feel relevant to wherever you are in life. I also work with children and young people on their own, and sometimes with parents or carers involved where that is helpful and agreed. What you are bringing is important, and you are important.
