Therapy
Therapy for adults
Working with adults is a core part of my practice. I work with adults across the whole of the lifespan, on the issues that feel relevant to wherever you are in life. You may be facing something specific, or you may simply know that you are feeling more strongly than you expected, or feeling something you do not fully understand. We can figure out a way forward together. Therapy can also give you space to think about what you are feeling and what you want to do next.
What might bring you to therapy
Therapy can support you with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, family-related issues, historic abuse or difficult childhood experiences, and life transitions. You do not need to have the perfect words before making contact. People often worry that they’re not making sense, but this is almost never the case.
How therapy can help
The things we experience as children have a real effect on how we are as adults, and often we do not notice until we feel more strongly than we expect to. Therapy can offer a place to begin making sense of those feelings and the experiences that may sit behind them — and to start to feel more in control of how you respond.
My approach
I work integratively and adapt to the person in front of me, rather than using one fixed model. What you are bringing is important, and I would want to help you find a way through whatever you are facing, in a way that works for you.
The first session and review
A first session is 50 minutes and there is no commitment to continue. Often six sessions is a good place to start, followed by a review of how the work is going. Sessions are £80. See fees & practicalities.
